Wand Desktop ("the App") is designed with privacy as its foundation. We believe that your creative process should be private and secure. This policy outlines how we handle your data and our commitment to protecting your privacy.

2. Local-First Processing

Wand uses Apple's Image Playground technology. All image generation and processing occurs locally on your device using on-device machine learning models. Your prompts and generated images are not sent to our servers for processing.

On-Device Generation: Creating images happens entirely on your Mac.
Privacy by Design: We do not have access to the images you generate or the prompts you enter.

3. Apple LLM & Image Safety

As Wand utilizes Apple's Image Playground frameworks, it adheres to Apple's strict safety and ethical guidelines for Generative AI. This includes:

Content Filtering: Certain restricted concepts or harmful content are blocked at the system level by macOS.
System-Level Privacy: Local processing is managed by macOS Intelligence features, ensuring high privacy standards.

4. Data Collection (Analytics)

To improve Wand's performance and user experience, we collect minimal, anonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics. This data includes:

App launches and navigation (which views are opened).
Count of successful image generations and any technical errors encountered.
Purchase events (subscription starts, successes, and restores).

We never collect your generated images, original prompts, or personally identifiable information through these analytics.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Payments are handled exclusively through Apple's App Store using In-App Purchases. We do not store or process your credit card information. Your subscription status is linked to your Apple ID.

We use the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google): For anonymous usage analytics and performance monitoring.
Apple App Store: For distribution and payment processing.
